Since childhood, my heart has longed to make a difference in this world.  In my opinion, changing the world starts by changing one life at a time.

After earning my business degree, I worked for a large company and, while proud of my contributions, deep inside, I knew this was not where I was meant to be. Not long after the birth of my second child, I watched an in-depth program about the struggles infertile couples face. I couldn't imagine life without my children and became curious about what options these couples had. Through my curiosity, I discovered the world of egg donation and surrogacy. I explored this forum for over three years and it became clear this was something I was meant to do.  With the support of my family, I made the choice to become a surrogate mother. I matched with a wonderful couple and went on to deliver twins for them. Words can never describe the look of joy on the faces of my couple when they saw their children for the first time!  It was a beautiful sight to behold. 

My own experience inspired me to focus my energy on helping others. When I was asked to work for the agency who had assisted me during my journey, I jumped at the chance!  Working as the Assistant Surrogate/Egg Donor Coordinator for this wonderful agency made one thing clear - this is where I belonged... I was home. (Circumstances forced the owner of the agency to move on and I found myself having to decide which direction to proceed in. It was during this time that Baby Steps was born.)

My desire to help couples, donors and surrogates through this process has only grown stronger with each passing day.  The fulfillment that comes from assisting others in creating their family is beyond words. In a world full of uncertainty and so many unscrupulous practices, I find my greatest satisfaction by being a constant presence, a reliable source, and a true friend to every special couple/surrogate/donor I work with.

Each evening as I drift to sleep, my heart is full of thanks for the honor of helping others create their family...and I wake each new day eager and excited about the next couple, egg donor or surrogate I will have the privilege of assisting.
